How to price your product in the early stages?
I was too confused to price mevin.ai, the offerings were for personal, business, and sometimes indie hackers.

I want to provide free plan for sure, and then more plans.

Free, Basic, Pro

Because there's 2 or more, I simplified it as Personal and Business.

So it's totally.

- Free
- Basic Individual
- Individual Pro
- Small Business
- Business Pro

Too complicated even when it comes to pricing.

I jumped on a call with Gautam Sawhney, who is an expert product manager.

Soon after I explained it, he said: "Why are you complicating so much?"

He suggested, Free & Pro, that's all, doesn't matter which persona.

That's a mindset of "Keep things simple and stupid."

For now, the goal is to get $1000 per month, then figure out more plans.

Most importantly, his suggestion was, let people join, start using the product, let them command what they need.

That's how you can build stuff for them and upsell.

Until then, keep it simple.

Most importantly, he suggested, not to do any yearly plans for now. It keeps you committed before finding PMF. Complicated.
