Nobody is reading your resume, it has become a keyword game with AI.

There are companies who parses your resume, then there are some who even go through your X, LinkedIn, Instagram posts to see if your are a good fit. Not just your GitHub.

They parse your resume using LLMs and suggest the best fit, they send your questionnaire and ask you to fill those, before even talking to you.

Resumes are really outdated, but it's just the people don't realize it, but companies have already realized it, the reason why they are making this a keyword game.

Some companies gets 1000s of resumes for 1 open role, and it's not worth going through each manually.

Also, why do you think people ask for your linkedin or github lately? they go through your coding practices as well, not manually, but automated using AI.

Not just randomly saying these, I have personally worked on these companies in the past and they are make huge moves in the industry.

Personal website is not just what you have in your homepage, it's not an alternative to your resume, it is a replacement and beyond. It's a data that shows your authority with proofs. Not just like "I have worked with Google, and I was a Software Engineer"

Your personal website should not just tell what you are doing or have done in the past, it should show your expertise through blog posts, etc., That's when one can build authority on what the experience they have and stand out of the crowd.

People who are applying for a job post and not getting any kind of response from the companies is because of this, your resume is not your authority, those years have passed, you have to do something beyond your resume.

None of my clients asked my resume, they asked my upwork, linkedin, and personal website, these things shows who I am, beyond just those list of companies that I have worked with. It's the authority that I try to build, not just a fancy website.
