I decided that I would work on @Mevin_AI for the next few years, no product hopping.
Soon after I did, I got 2 corporate customers who signed up for 2 years straight.
That's a validation that people look for long term commitment in the product.
But here's the twist:
These B2B clients pushed us in unexpected ways.
I thought they'd slow our B2C dreams. I was wrong.
Their demands were relentless.
"Add this feature!" "Change that design!"
"Can you make this button blue?"
It was overwhelming... until I saw the bigger picture.
Each "annoying" request?
A goldmine of user insights we'd never have discovered.
We built features that solved real, complex problems.
The unexpected benefit?
We now have so many features built for our real customers.
No random feature in the name of "future customers might like this".
Mevin now has translations, media uploads, and soon it will have dynamic forms, and private pages/resources for subscribed users.
Starting with B2B not just validated the product,
It made Mevin much better than I could have imagined.
If you haven't got your first customer yet, force yourself to get a B2B.
If you've already got your first customer, keep them close.
They are the best teachers and they will make your product better than you can imagine.
If you want access to the product, just comment "Mevin" and I will get back to you.
