New to Reddit? Getting banned?

Here's some bullet proof techniques to warm up your new Reddit account.

You might feel that Reddit is hard, but it's not.

You just have to do it right and stay genuine.

Try to understand how people behave on reddit, When anonymous, it bring both good and bad. Start doing this.

  1. Patience, many subs have cooling period for new accounts or new joiners, read "community rules" before posting.

  2. Day 1, do a doom scroll on the sub, you need to understand how people speak in there. Scout for some good posts. It helps to know what people like in the sub.

  3. Day 1 (part 2), Start liking those post, this will make the community bots to know that you are actively participating.

  4. Day 2, Focus on replying with value on posts that you like. Keep it genuine, the same way you do it on X.

  5. Day 3, "First commenter advantage" this helped me a lot, sometimes you need to go through "new" posts, anything that strikes you (follow your insight) and just comment with some value. Not just encouragement, a genuine reply with value. (you will get a lot of upvotes, so you open up ability to post)

  6. STOP using AI content, Reddit hate AI content, write on your own, I have seen posts without any punctuation as lengthy as essasy still gets so much love and a well written AI post getting removed.

  7. Make sure you setup your profile well, similar to X. Keep it clear on why people should click your link on bio.

People on Reddit have more fun, they go deep, they help a lot, some even try to go through your history post and bash you for something you commented 2 years ago.

You have to make sure they don't feel like your are just there to promote your product.

Instead ask for help, doesn't mean you have to ask for upvotes or ask people to subscribe. Tell your story and tell you are launching, people will understand and sign up if they like it.

Do not add links to the posts, just keep that on bio. (but, check the community info to see if you can add links)

Attaching one of my post for reference.

Sometimes certain people make your realize what one has done is not simple, there's some unique value in what they have done. @soulblissX you are one of those bring such value out to the public, thank you for making me post this.

Not affiliated, but it's a great tool, checkout subreddittraffic (dot) live, it's important to time your post on reddit, it matters a lot.
